New York Mets third baseman David Wright burst onto the baseball scene in 2004 and quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with at third base and at the plate. Wright batted .293 with 17 doubles, 14 home runs and 40 RBIs in 2004, and in 2005 he improved on those stats, batting .306 with 42 doubles, 27 home runs and 102 RBIs. He figures to be at the hot corner for years to come.
