A leader on the field and captain of the Bronx Bombers, Derek Jeter has become the franchise player that the Yankees organization expected him to become. Jeter won Rookie of the Year honors in 1996 and the 2000 season was his breakout year, as he collected the All-Star MVP and World Series MVP Awards.
