Moises Alou Autographed NLCS Game Six Bartman Foul Ball 16x20 Photograph
Moises Alou may be a New York Met these days, but he was with the Chicago Cubs in 2003 when he played a role in one of sports history's most memorable moments. Doing his part to help the Cubs advance to the World Series for the first time in nearly 90 years, Alou had a great 2003 NLCS against the Florida Marlins, batting .310 and hitting three home runs. However, the momentum swung the Marlins' way on October 14, 2003, during the eighth inning of Game Six at Wrigley Field, when Luis Castillo crushed a ball. Alou chased the ball down and reached over the left field fence, only to have a lifelong Cubs fan seemingly thwart his effort. Though no one will ever know for sure if Alou would have caught the ball, the "Bartman Incident" paved the way for the Marlins to win Game Six, then Game Seven, and they went on to beat the Yankees in the World Series. Moises Alou has hand signed this 16x20 color "Bartman incident" photograph. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
